Board Game Design

(College Project)

Murder at Big Horn Saloon is a design based on the game 'Clue'. The western aestetic seeps into every aspect of this project, with the playing cards resembling cigarette cards, the box looking wooden and worn, and the board being the titular saloon.

Book Cover Design

(College Project)

Alternate cover design for Batman: The Long Halloween. Without spoiling exactly what happens in the story, all of the visual elements present elude to Harvey Dent's tranformation into Two-Face. Placing Batman and Harvey directly opposite of each other, and Harvey being made of the torn cloak also eludes to the breaking point their relationship as two men on the right side of the law reaches.

PintPeak Brewing Identity

(College Project)

Logo and branding elements for PintPeak Brewing, a fictional craft brewery located in the rocky mountains. I decided the brand needed to feel very welcoming, and have a sort of hand-made quality, to represent craft brewing well, and to appeal to the target audience of craft beer enjoyers, and people who enjoy the wilderness.

Student Showcase

(College Project)

Art piece created for the 2024 Holland College SVA Student Showcase. All pieces followed the theme "The Future is (Blank)" leaving it up to students to fill in the end and decide how their piece would look. My keyword was hope, as I was feeling pretty worn out when I was creating this piece, but excited for what the future holds. The flying swallow symbolizes the hope one needs in order to soar over a bleak world.

Playing Cards

(College Project)

Series of ten playing cards made in Adobe Photoshop. The objective of this project was to familiarize myself with digital drawing tools. The cards are seperated into two sets of a king, queen, jack, ace and joker. The first set is themed around DC characters, and the second is music artists I enjoy. Can you name them all?

Kinetic Typography

(College Project)

Created in Adobe After Effects, the goal with this project was to represent either a song or movie scene only with creative typography. I took this iconic scene from the movie Whiplash and captured the same tension with a completely different visual direction.

Alva's Photographer Logo

(Client Project)

Logo design for Alva's Photographer, a portrait specialist. I worked very closely with the owner to develop the logo to exactly what she wanted. An important theme that directed me was that Alva's goal is to inspire confidence in how we look, so I wanted to make the logo feel as warm and inviting as possible. The type and icon can be seperated from each other for different purposes.

Annual Report

(College Project)

Annual report designed for Bandai Namco. Primarily creating toys and games, the company is strongly associated with fun, as well as having a rich history of many beloved characters and series. I created a design that both feels fun and airy, while handling a certain sense of class and respect befitting a company like Bandai Namco.

Book Posters

(College Project)

Series of three posters for Ready Player One, Memoirs of a Geisha and The Fellowship of the Ring. All three draw from important story elements to inspire the visuals, while being restricted to 5 colors each. The FOTR poster is my personal favourite, as I feel the ring creates an excellent focal point, and the struggle of good and evil fighting over the ring is displayed effectively.

Poster Design

(College Project)

Poster designed for the online storefront, the Idea Bank. The store was a collaborative effort featuring work from all members of the class to be sold. I decided to create a noire-style travel poster for New York. It features an art deco inspired colour palette and style, and a real mean looking gangster to really capture the feel of the concrete jungle.

Takeout Box

(College Project)

For this project I was given a takeout box and tasked to come up with a company and design. I decided to create a company named Misty Valley. The company would fill the boxes with basic camping essentials, primarily marketing towards families with small children, and people who are new to camping. The design aims to create a sense of mystery and adventure, which is also why the name Misty Valley was chosen.

Chap Book Covers

(College Project)

Series of three chap book covers based on the original Star Wars trilogy of movies. The story of the trilogy is told across all three covers, depicting the conflict between Luke and Vader, with Luke victorious at the end of the first, and Vader at the end of the second. By the end of the story, they come together as father and son to defeat The Emperor, with both of them being present together on the last cover, and united instead of opposites.
